Oops, sorry for a Tuesday email- running a little late this week!
Today’s mix was inspired by this tweet [which I read while I was feverish after my recent covid booster shot, so it is quite truly a fever-dreams-vibe mix]:
It IS still so crazy that Mariah Carey rhymed “rendezvous” with “Wendy interview” on her song, “Touch My Body.”

But this is private, between you and I
Mariah Carey is FUNNY and in on the bit. This rhyme is true musical comedy. Not to mention the line threatening to “hunt you down” … incredible!

The Rhyme: hornet/sonnet
This one is full of good rhymes, but the hornet/sonnet bit steals the show.
Obsessed, Mariah Carey
The Rhyme: complex/Windex
As I said, Mariah is funny and this song is perhaps the greatest diss track of all time.
