A Year in Review Mix
featuring my favorite songs of 2022
As we near the end of 2022, I’ve read through lots of “best of” music lists, counting down the best songs and albums of the year. While there are artists and albums that show up on each (Beyoncé, Bad Bunny, and Alvvays to name a few), there’s also a ton of variety. Check out Pitchfork’s best albums, NPR Music’s best albums, and the New York Times best albums and you’ll see just how different opinions are. Music is subjective! Some is definitely “better” than others, but like what you like because even the critics can’t completely agree (though most rightfully recognize RENAISSANCE as the best album of the year).
I’m decidedly not a critic, so I’m not here to tell you what was the Best Music of 2022, but I’ll certainly share my favorites! This week’s mix features (in no particular order) 30 of my favorite tracks of the year:
