I wrote up a different newsletter for today, but the events of last week have me feeling like that can and should wait.
It’s scary and maddening to see the rights of already marginalized groups ripped away. It’s scary and maddening to have studied American history for most of my adult life to see the reversal of “historic” decisions. I’m overwhelmed, furious, and sad as I’m sure every single person opening this email is, so I’m trying to follow up with some action items like those listed here.
When you need a break, I recommend two very good albums that came out this past Friday: MUNA’s self titled album and Soccer Mommy’s, Sometimes, Forever. I’ve had them on repeat and they are certainly bright spots in the last few days.
