A few months ago, I bought one of those sunrise alarm clocks that are meant to wake you up “naturally” as the light on the clock gets brighter. The sunrise effect does nothing for me, but what does get me up is the clock radio which kicks in as soon as the simulated sunrise is completed.

I talk mostly about streaming music in this newsletter, but I do listen to music in other formats including on vinyl and on the radio. I love listening to the radio as I drive to work in the morning. Sure, I’m dealing with occasional commercials and DJ talk, but it’s fun to be surprised by what comes next.
