Let's Get Loud

I’ve written before about how much I like loud music: “The louder the bass, the bigger the drums, the crazier the distortion the better. When I go to concerts, I want to feel the music in my body; I want buzzing in my teeth.” While this is certainly bad for me in the long run (maybe it’s time for earplugs at shows?), I stand by it.

I’ve been in the mood for loud music lately. Today’s mix is part of an effort to compile my favorites. There are a few different kinds of loud here- Fiona Apple loud is different from Kendrick Lamar loud is different from Blur loud, etc. etc.- but I’m open to it all.

In the immortal words of Jennifer Lopez (specifically when she yelled it at Biden’s inauguration), “let’s get loud!”
