Happy Monday! Last night, I watched the new Netflix teen rom com, Do Revenge. I went in with pretty low expectations, this was just some easy viewing on a Sunday night. But I ended up sort of loving it?! It pays homage to teen rom coms of the late 90s/early aughts, including a paint balloon fight à la my favorite film of this genre, 10 Things I Hate About You, but even more notably with some of its music choices. For instance, it had been YEARS since I heard “Flagpole Sitta” by Harvey Danger, but there is was tucked between ROSALÍA and Olivia Rodrigo.

Spotify did the heavy lifting for me and there is a “Do Revenge Official Playlist” which I will be listening to today while feeling excited for the Gen Z Do Revenge fans who now know The Mighty Mighty Bosstones. [I’m sorry to be so Spotify-centric, but I checked and this is only platform the playlist is on!]
