What an interesting week to be a Charli XCX fan! If you’d ask me a year ago what pop star was going to have an impact on the 2024 election, Charli may have been my last guess. But here we are- “Kamala is brat.” Since Charli tweeted that last Sunday, the Harris campaign has embraced the designation. Numerous reporters and politicians have attempted to wrap their minds around the concept of brat. We’ve explained to our parents what brat is. It feels like it’s only a matter of time until Kamala herself does the “Apple” dance. I guess this is what it takes to have a fighting chance at winning elections now which is really weird, but I suppose could be worse.
When not listening to brat (can’t stop, won’t stop), I’ve been liking new and new-to-me songs from The Linda Lindas, Hinds, Katie Gavin, The Last Dinner Party, and more! Would love to know what you’ve been listening to!
