Yesterday, I was sitting outside at a brewery with some friends. One of them, who is new-ish to Charleston, commented that she didn’t “get” that the most common social activity here seems to be “just” sitting outside and drinking. But what’s not to get! I think there is truly little better than sitting outside and having a drink (alcoholic or not!) with friends (or your dog! Or just you!). Even in the depths of a hot southern summer, drinks outside is my preferred pastime. If I’m hosting drinks on my porch, I, of course, like to set the tone with a mix.1 Here’s one perfect for the occasion:

Thank you for reading- if you like this mix, please share with a friend!
If I’m playing DJ, I’ll change my playback settings in Spotify to enhance the ~flow~. I like to set the “crossfade” to 5 or 6 seconds so that each song blends into the next.
