Manifesting Fall, Vol. 2
featuring Haley Heynderickx, Better Oblivion Community Center, Maggie Rogers, and more!
Hi, happy Wednesday! Maybe we’ll return to a consistent Monday schedule eventually, but who’s to say!
Around this time last year, I wrote about how I’m always chasing the high of one very particular fall day: “roughly 2002; probably October, but maybe November; a Saturday; at my home in suburban Detroit. It was so nice outside: a cloudless, sunny, cool day. My sister, our immediate neighbor, and our across-the-street neighbor played outside in the morning and then had lunch (hot dogs, to be exact) in the bed of our neighbor’s dad’s truck. For whatever reason, 20 years later, this is what I consider the Ideal Fall Day.” I also shared “A Mix For: Manifesting Fall” in my ongoing attempt to recreate that energy. I stand by all of this.
In the last few weeks, I have enjoyed some very fall-y activities: I’ve peeped the leaves up in the Blue Ridge Mountains and even carved a pumpkin over the weekend. That said, it’s late October and the high where I am is nearly 80 degrees, so there’s still work to be done. With that comes today’s mix, Manifesting Fall, Vol. 2. Once again, going for music that feels sunny, crisp, relaxed, colorful, and/or a little nostalgic. I still suggest listening while baking this pumpkin bread to get the best results.
Thank you for reading and listening! If you enjoy Made You a Mix, please share with a friend!
manifesting fall is still one of my favorite playlists, so it’s nice to have a new edition!
