Hi, happy Monday (Evening Edition)! Taking a cue from this week’s mix and keeping this whole thing brief!

I was recently re-listening to Squirrel Flower’s 2023 album, Tomorrow’s Fire. One of my favorite tracks is short (not even a full two minutes) which got me thinking! There’s a lot to say about songs getting shorter in the era of streaming music and TikTok virality, but sometimes there is something so satisfying about a quick song that packs a punch. Here’s a non-exhaustive mix of some of my favorite short songs - all clocking in at two minutes or less.¹
